What is Birdsongs?
Birdsongs is a small residential Care Home in Umgeni Park, Durban, accommodating 43 people and is for those who no longer can or want to look after themselves but enjoy being with others in their latter years.
Birdsongs consist of 25 units sold under Sectional Title for independant residents and a further 10 units for assisted living and a frail ward.
We have three types of Security including:
Blue Security monitors with beams at night and paramedic response * 24 Hour gate control * In-house medical emergency buzzer

We pride ourselves in keeping our residents happily entertained with a monthly diary of activities. This includes Rummikub and Bingo, a very active Knitters group, monthly quiz, communion and “wine down”.
We encourage schools, music groups, choirs etc, to come and entertain and have a family quarterly braai.
Our Residents
Residents buy into a “lifestyle” which BIRDSONGS CARE & SERVICE PROVIDER has the contract to supply daily services. With a strong team of 34 staff consisting of Managers, Nursing Sister / Staff Nurse, Carers, Cooks, Housekeepers, Laundress, Groundsmen and Security. We supply nourishing meals, housekeeping three times a week, weekly personalised washing, excellent nursing care and beautifully kept gardens.
